The patterns of expenditure on patients, of the ease with which patients can see GPs, and the age distribution of elderly patients reveals that London has a young profile, and the expenditure per patient is broadly the highest in the north west, south west and very south east. Most patients per GP are spread, but broadly in the heartland of England. Huge variations are apparent.
